What Makes the Ash Slipover Special?
There are two available versions of the Ash Slipover, a V-neck or mock-neck, to suit different preferences. The combination of Hamelton Tweed 2 and Baby Silk Lace creates a luxurious texture that is soft and warm. This is the perfect layering piece for transitioning from cool autumn days to chilly evenings and into winter.
Discover the Yarns
BC Garn Hamelton Tweed 2 is a chunky weight yarn made from GOTS certified organic wool, featuring tweedy neps that add character to the fabric. 10% viscose content lends the finished fabric excellent drape, ensuring a flattering fit for the Ash Slipover. On the other hand, Kremke Soul Wool Baby Silk Lace brings a touch of fluffy sophistication with its blend of brushed alpaca and silk, adding a subtle halo effect to the garment.
By holding these two yarns together, the Ash Slipover becomes a quick and enjoyable knit, perfect for those looking to create a stylish piece in a shorter amount of time. The combination of textures and fibres results in a visually appealing garment that is sure to become a staple in your autumn/winter wardrobe.
If you've always liked the look of those popular patterns holding a silk mohair with another yarn but don't get along with mohair, this is a great option for you as the Baby Silk Lace is 70% alpaca/30% silk and gives a similar, fluffy effect to the finished garment.
