Kremke Soul Wool Baby Silk Lace is a sumptous and fluffy alpaca/silk yarn that can be used in a similar way to silk mohair laceweight yarns. With brushed alpaca spun round a silk core, this soft and snuggly yarn can be used on its own for a beautiful, lightweight garment or accessory, or strand it with another yarn to lend its warm and fluffy properties to any project.
While often used as an alternative to silk mohair, Babysilk Lace has its own lovely character - more like a downy feather feel - but for people who can't get on with mohair, this is an excellent alternative and it is great for combining with similar or contrasting shades of smoother yarns.
Because of the fluffy nature of this yarn, you can try it at a variety of gauges. In a similar way to silk mohair yarns, Babysilk Lace works nicely on larger needles to create a featherlight fabric that still has body.
