The Odd-Ball Yarn Sale
In-store only – Saturday 7th June
If you love the thrill of a good rummage and the promise of a yarny bargain, our Odd-Ball Sale is for you!
This Saturday 7th June, I’ll be clearing space for new summer stock – and that means a special in-store event with big discounts on one-off balls, ends of dye lots, discontinued colours, and more. These are the kinds of skeins that have been left without a home – but they still deserve to become something beautiful.
What is an "odd-ball" yarn?
It might be:
-
The last ball of a popular colour
-
End-of-dye-lot skeins that no longer match the rest
-
A discontinued yarn I won’t be restocking
-
A sample ball from a display
Why shop odd-balls?
Odd-balls are perfect for:
-
Small projects (think hats, mitts, mug cosies)
-
Colourwork and stripes
-
Children’s knits and stash-busting patterns
-
Scrappy socks, patchwork shawls, and playful swatching
-
Mixing textures and fibres in creative ways
A little yarn treasure hunt
The sale is in-store only on Saturday 7th June, so if you’re local, I’d love to see you. Everything will be laid out ready for rummaging – and Janet and I will be around for colour pairing advice if you’d like a second opinion.
Can’t make it on the day?
Any leftover yarn will be added to the Clearance section of the website the following week.
Whether you’ve got a specific project in mind or just want to give some forgotten beauties a new home, it’s a lovely way to top up your stash and discover something unexpected.
See you Saturday!
– Nicky
