Pattern Inspiration: Norma Sweater by My Favourite Things Knitwear
The Norma Sweater by My Favourite Things Knitwear in Isager Tweed, Isager Silk Mohair and Isager Tvinni has zoomed straight to the top of my queue. Released recently as part of the Isager Archives Collection, this pattern has really got my knitty fingers twitching!
I'm seeing so many lovely colour combinations in the orders coming through and I just have to make one for myself! I've yet to decide whether to go with the colours as shown or go off piste.
The lightweight yarns used for the Norma Sweater make this a lovely option for a spring sweater.
The Isager Archives Collection brings together contemporary Danish knitwear designers who were asked to find inspiration for new designs from patterns created by Åse Lund Jensen in the 1960's and 1970's that are held in the Isager archives.
The Norma Sweater by Louise Rasmussen - aka My Favourite Things Knitwear - is a fabulous contribution to the Isager Archives project that has quickly proved a very popular knitting pattern. Louise feels the simple but distinctive multicoloured pattern creates a focal point reminiscent of 60s and 70s knitting traditions.
The Norma Sweater is a classic raglan sweater with a high turtleneck. A stylish and elegant garment with a beautiful drape and a comfortable loose fit. The sweater is knit from the top down, allowing you to try it on as you knit. Isager Tweed and Isager Silk Mohair are held stranded together throughout with the Isager Tvinni worked on its own (held double).
The Norma Sweater pattern is available to download from My Favourite Things Knitwear here.
