Beginner's Knitting Workshop - Get Started! (materials included)
Come and learn how to knit with Nicky Jerrome from All About The Yarn.
You will be learning the basics of knitting:
- Casting on
- Knit stitch
- Purl stitch
- Binding off
- Weaving in your ends
I will also explain
- How to read a simple pattern
- How to change colour to make stripes
- Seaming your work with mattress stitch
Enough wool and a pattern will be provided for you to take home after the workshop to make a simple pair of wrist warmers. After the course, you will be sent links to videos showing the techniques covered so that you can refresh your memory if needed!
Tea, coffee, cake/biscuits and plenty of encouragement are also provided.

Skills required: None
Materials Included: KnitPro "Basix Birch" 4mm needles and a 100g ball of wool are included on the day for you to take home and practise your knitting and make a pair of fingerless mitts.

We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations with less than 2 week's notice. This is in order to give us a chance to fill the space. If you cancel at less than 2 week's notice and we are able to fill your space, we can offer you a transfer to the next available course date.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a course due to illness or such like, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and either refund you or transfer you to the next available course date, depending on your preference.
